Carly Stern – Bat Mitzvah dinner {Detroit-Metro Mitzvah photographer}

May 28, 2010
I was so excited when Lisa contacted me to talk about shooting her daughter Carly’s Bat Mitzvah. I have cousins who are Jewish and I loved being a part of their Mitzvah’s as well! We decided that it would be great to have coverage of all the events that weekend, so here are some favorites from the dinner held outside their home on Friday night. What a lovely, amazing family! I enjoyed hanging out with everyone!

The “S” Family {Michigan portrait photographer}

I had a great time photographing this family. Chanel & I have been friends for a couple of years now – we met when her son & my middle daughter were in 4 year old preschool together. She now lives practically down the street and I always have a great time hanging out with her! Mike is a great guy and always makes me laugh. Their kids are SO sweet and my girls love playing with them. Thanks for being such great friends!!

Amy + Martin – wed! (Michigan wedding photography)

May 22, 2010
So behind in my blogging! I wanted to quickly give a little look at some of my favorite images from Amy & Martin’s wedding. What a great couple and fun bridal party!! My brother Tim came along to second shoot with me and we both had a great time! I’ll do a longer blog soon!

jaclyn & tony – engaged {Chicago wedding photographer}

When Jaclyn & Tony and I discussed heading to Chicago (where they live) for their engagement session I was thrilled! I love Chicago and it offers SO many amazing locations for pictures. They wanted to show Chicago as they know and love it as they are moving to New York soon! Hopefully I can make a trip there one day to do more sessions for them. :)

The weather was not cooperating at all, it was windy and chilly, but we made the best of it. And honestly looking through the images I barely remember that it wasn’t perfect out. My husband, Dave, came with me and the four of us had a wonderful time traveling the city for the afternoon. I loved working with Jaclyn & Tony and I am really looking forward to their July 2nd wedding in Detroit!

on the farm with the Kupiec’s

I got a call a couple of weeks ago from Kelly to see about my availability to do a session for her. She need pictures for a couple of reasons – her husband, John, is running for congress and needed some images for his campaign, she’s coming up on a birthday and their 30th wedding anniversary is coming up soon too! We hit it off and even though I wasn’t open the day she needed me, we made it work on another day. I loved talking with Kelly and she had some great ideas for their session on their farm. She takes out her camper (which I *adore* and want one myself) and camps on her own. We lucked out with a beautiful day and had a great time talking and shooting! Their dog Remi was beautiful and I loved capturing her out in the field. Here are a couple of my favorites from the day.
